Monday I think

WOW, forgot just how tiring being a new Mom can be, forget tired exhausted is more like the right word. I think I'm feeling my age. Well Sam is getting a schedule sort of figured out which means a little more stitchy time for me. My rotation piece for this last week was the Giraffe Family I pulled it out of its happy home in the crazy basket and stared at it. I love the design do not get me wrong about that but just couldn't get motivated to stitch on it. Then it came to me it was the fabric, I use to be an aida girl but not no more some things I still use it for and I'm trying to clean it out of my stash. So after much thought, well not really the started Giraffe Family from January 5th got tossed back into a plastic tote to be frogged at a later date. Which meant a trip to the LNS, so with a much happier feeling here is the Giraffe Family stitched on Linen where it deserves to be.

Well I'm sad to see this piece packed away again for awhile, its on to a new week. So I'll be back on Wed with an update this week on my Christmas SAL piece, then the rest of the week will be the "Charmed Water Garden"
Wishing everyone a wonderful start to their stitchy week.

  1. Isn't it so funny how we progress in stitching? I think we all started on aida, and then I went to evenweave, and then linen, and then the higher count fabrics. It just means we are becoming more knowledgeable and courageous in our hobby!! The giraffe looks great.

  2. Giraffes are one of my 2 favorite animals, the other being the lion. This looks fabulous, Crystal. Just seeing that pattern makes me happy. :D

Take good care and I hope you get some rest.

  4. I fuly understand the aida vs linen thing....I keep some aida for a few things that it is best for. So,the little one is adjusting? Good....hugs to him and to Kenny, don't want him to feel left out.

  10. Hope you're getting a little more sleep now. It's snatch a nap where you can time I think. Don't blame you for changing to Linen if there's half stitches it's looks so much better, But it also gives a better look. At least I think it does. I've got loads of aida that I use with my grandchildren if they have the urge to have a go at something.
